Privacy Policy - EmberHome

Last Updated: September 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how EmberHome (the "App"), a shared home and chores application for iOS published by TuranliApp, collects, uses, stores, and protects your information.

This policy covers EmberHome only. TuranliApp publishes other applications that have different features and different data practices; those are covered by our general Privacy Policy. Where the two differ, this document governs your use of EmberHome.

EmberHome helps the people who live together share chores and a shopping list. We have written this policy to describe precisely what the App does. In short: the App stores your account and your home's shared lists so that everyone in the home sees the same thing, it contains no advertising and no tracking software, and it does not ask for access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data.

By downloading, installing, or using EmberHome, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. WHO WE ARE

Data Controller: TuranliApp
Contact: ismailturanli91@gmail.com

2. WHAT WE COLLECT, AND WHERE IT IS STORED

2.1 Your account

You need an account to use EmberHome. Accounts are provided by Firebase Authentication, operated by Google LLC.

DataWhy we store it
Email addressTo create and sign in to your account, and to send the verification and password-reset emails you ask for. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive only Apple's private relay address.
PasswordOnly if you sign up with email. Your password is handled by Firebase Authentication and is never stored in EmberHome's own data.
Apple account identifierOnly if you choose "Sign in with Apple", so that Apple can sign you back in.
Name (display name)To show your housemates who you are, and who a task is assigned to.

2.2 Your home

The following is stored in Cloud Firestore, operated by Google LLC, in its European multi-region (eur3). It belongs to your home and is visible to every member of that home:

DataWhy we store it
Home nameTo identify the home you share
Members: display name, email address, role (owner, admin, or roommate), points, and the date each person joinedTo show who lives in the home, who may invite others, and each person's progress. Other members of your home can see your email address.
Tasks: title, room, the member it is assigned to, due date, priority, how often it repeats, points, and whether and when it was completedTo run the shared chore list and the progress screens
Shopping list: item name, quantity, category, and whether it has been boughtTo run the shared shopping list
Invite codes: the home they open, who created them, when they expire, and how many times they were usedTo let someone you invite join your home

Changes to a home are made only through our server functions, which run in Google Cloud's europe-west1 region (Belgium) and check that the request comes from a member of that home.

2.3 Information that stays on your device

This information is removed when you delete the App.

2.4 Information we do not collect

3. SHARING A HOME WITH OTHER PEOPLE

A home is shared through an invite code, which owners and admins can create in the App. A code opens the home for seven days and for up to twelve people, and creating a new code cancels the previous one.

Please read this carefully. Anyone who obtains a valid invite code can join the home and will then see everything listed in Section 2.2, including the names and email addresses of the other members. Share codes only with the people you live with.

Access is enforced on our servers: only accounts listed as members of a home can read its data, and only through our server functions can it be changed.

4. EMBER PLUS SUBSCRIPTIONS

Ember Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription, offered monthly or yearly. The yearly plan may start with a free trial. Purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple under your Apple Account.

To check and restore your subscription, the App uses RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat receives your EmberHome account identifier (a random ID created by Firebase, not your name or email address), your purchase and subscription history for EmberHome, and technical details sent with each request: your IP address, the identifier Apple assigns to apps from the same developer (identifierForVendor, which is not the advertising identifier), your device model, iOS version, app version, language preferences, and App Store country. It does not receive your payment details or anything in your home's lists. RevenueCat also uses this history to give us subscription statistics, such as how many people start or cancel a subscription.

5. ANALYTICS AND CRASH REPORTS

EmberHome contains no advertising software. It does contain analytics and crash reporting, provided by Google LLC (Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics), used only to understand which parts of the App are used and to find and fix crashes. These reports are not linked to your account: we do not send your account identifier, name, or email address to either service.

Events the App sends:

Google Analytics for Firebase also records its standard automatic events, such as the first time the App is opened, sessions, and screen views, together with device model, iOS version, app version, language, and an approximate location at the country or city level derived from your IP address. It assigns its own app-instance identifier, which is reset if you delete and reinstall the App.

Crash reports contain the technical state of the App when it crashed or hit an error (such as the stack trace, device model, iOS version, and app version) and an installation identifier created by Crashlytics.

We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share your data with data brokers.

6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

EmberHome relies on the following third-party services, and no others:

These providers act as data processors on our behalf and process your data in accordance with their own terms and applicable data protection agreements.

7. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making, and we do not use it to train machine learning models.

8. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

We keep the information in Sections 2.1 and 2.2 for as long as your account exists.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from within the App, under Profile > Delete account. You are asked to confirm with your password or with Sign in with Apple. This is a permanent deletion, not a sign-out. It removes:

If other people still live in the home, the home stays with them. Tasks assigned to you become unassigned, and if you owned the home, ownership passes to another member. Tasks and shopping items you added remain part of the shared home. Invite codes you created for that home keep an internal reference to an account that no longer exists.

Deleting your account does not cancel an Ember Plus subscription. Cancel it in your Apple Account's subscription settings to stop future charges.

Deleted data cannot be recovered. Backup copies held by our infrastructure provider are overwritten in the ordinary course of their retention cycle.

Analytics, crash reports, and subscription records

Analytics and crash reports are retained by Google LLC according to the retention settings of our Firebase project. Deleting your account does not delete them, because they are not linked to your account.

Subscription records are retained by RevenueCat, Inc. according to its own retention policy and are linked to your account identifier. If you would like them deleted after you delete your account, contact us and we will ask RevenueCat to delete them.

9. SECURITY

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your home's data is stored in Google Cloud's European multi-region and processed by our server functions in Belgium. Firebase Authentication, Google Analytics for Firebase, and Firebase Crashlytics are operated by Google LLC, which may process data in the United States and other countries. RevenueCat, Inc. processes the data described in Section 4 in the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on the safeguards offered by the providers, including Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data: the right to access it, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent you have given.

You can exercise the most important of these directly in the App: you can view and edit your home's lists at any time, and you can permanently delete your account as described in Section 8.

For any other request, contact us at ismailturanli91@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are: performance of a contract with you, for the account, home-sharing, and subscription features you ask us to provide; and our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure, fixing crashes, and understanding how the App is used, which you may object to by contacting us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Turkey (KVKK)

Where Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data applies, your data is processed to establish and perform the service you have requested and on the basis of our legitimate interests described above. You hold the rights set out in Article 11 of the Law, including the right to learn whether your data is processed, to request its correction or erasure, and to object to results arising from automated analysis. Requests may be sent to the contact address above.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. California residents may exercise their rights of access and deletion through the contact address above, and will not be discriminated against for doing so.

12. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

EmberHome is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 16 where that is the applicable threshold). The App does not currently verify age at sign-up. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the address above and we will delete the account and its data.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, in our providers, or in applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. For material changes, including any change to what data leaves your device, we will make the updated policy available before the affected version of the App is released.
